Using a 28-criterion evaluation of conversational AI for employee services providers, Forrester identified and analyzed the top vendors in the market. This report provides a detailed assessment of each provider’s performance and helps technology professionals make informed decisions.

Evaluation Overview 

Forrester grouped their evaluation criteria into three high-level categories: 

  • Current offering. Each vendor’s position on the vertical axis of the Forrester Wave graphic indicates the strength of its current offering. 
  • Strategy. Placement on the horizontal axis indicates the strength of the vendors’ strategies, including elements such as vision and innovation. 
  • Market presence. The size of each vendor’s marker on the graphic reflects Forrester’s assessment of its market presence.

Vendor Inclusion Criteria 

Each of the vendors Forrester included in this assessment has: 

  • A conversational AI product for employee services. Each vendor has a product that can support and is actively employed for multiple common employee services workloads.
  • A solution that is available for purchase independent of services contracts. Each vendor has a product or offering that is not contingent on an additional, existing, or standing services contract from the provider. 
  • A solution that provides native advanced language processing. Each vendor provides some native advanced language processing capabilities included in the contract. This could be something like an NLP engine or access to an LLM. The vendor also must natively support English
  • Product revenue of at least $15 million. Each vendor has a minimum of $15 million annual revenue related to its conversational AI for employee services and at least 30 active paying customers. This includes licensing, subscription, and maintenance, but not consulting services. 
  • Active interest among Forrester clients. Forrester customers demonstrate active interest in these vendor offerings, including inquiry mentions and inclusion on shortlists.
