Before Moveworks.global, we hosted the AI Agent Hackathon on April 14th in San Jose, CA.
The event marked a major milestone for Moveworks and our developer community. We unveiled the latest advancements to our full-stack AI agent developer platform that is engineered from the ground-up to install, build, configure, and deploy AI agents for the enterprise, at scale.
The room was filled with over 90 developers, innovators, and agentic AI thought leaders who were able to get their hands on and experience our latest product innovations — and the energy was electrifying.
Throughout the hackathon, they crafted 50+ innovative AI agents across 15 different business systems.
From ideation to implementation, our AI Agent hackathon showcased the future of agentic AI and the power of community coming together to build.
What’s new in Agent Studio?
At the hackathon, our developer participanets were the first to not only learn about, but also experience the latest innovations and advancements to Agent Studio, including the AI Agent Marketplace.
AI Agent Marketplace helps to transform how organizations can both discover and deploy AI agents. Discovery is supercharged by flexible filters as well as curated AI agent solution packs organized by systems and teams from HR, Finance, IT, and beyond, each with templated, installable plugins that can be deployed enterprise-wide in just minutes, not days or weeks.
As part of this launch, we also have five new partner integrations, each contributing specialized agents to our growing AI Agent Marketplace to deliver even more powerful and targeted workflows across IT, HR, Customer Support, and more.
**AI Agent Marketplace: Installable Plugins in Minutes**
Plugin Workspace: A unified low-code editor
The new Plugin Workspace streamlines the development process by providing a unified, low-code editor experience. Developers are able to intuitively configure plugins installed from the AI Agent Marketplace to meet their organization’s unique needs or build custom AI agents in a few simple steps, all within a single interface.
Agentic Automation Engine: Advanced AI capabilities
At the heart of this release are the latest advancements to our Agentic Automation Engine. This core technology powers the AI agent’s ability to bridge the gap between natural language and business systems and deliver more intelligent AI agents that are capable of following business policies deterministically.
Winning hackathon solutions
Participants remarked that installing, configuring, and deploying AI agents directly from the AI Agent Marketplace to their AI Assistants, was able to bring immediate value to the teams. However, many developers arrived with innovative ideas and specific visions for the AI agents they wanted to create.
We celebrated the reality of developers being able to bring AI agents to life in just minutes (really!) during .global. We took a moment on the main stage to highlight the winners of our AI Agent Hackathon, sharing the stories of the developers who created the most viral AI agent, the most impactful AI agent, and the most powerful AI agent.

🏆 Most Viral AI Agent: Calendar Management: Jordan Craig, Principal Engineer and Adam Newman, Senior System Engineer @ SkyScanner
Jordan and Adam built a Calendar Management AI Agent that can check the availability of a colleague’s calendar and is able to book a meeting instantly.
It saves time, helps users book meetings, quickly, and reduces context switching. This is already in production!
🏆 Most Powerful AI Agent: Purchasing Intake: Chaitanya Kothha, Staff Software Engineer - GenAI @ Micron
Chaitanya built an AI agent that autonomously handles purchasing requests and eliminates decisions traditionally made by procurement experts. They have a significant number of requests every month – so this is going to be a game-changer for their business.
🏆 Most Impactful AI Agent: Desktop Repair Agent
One team built a desktop app repair AI agent. This AI agent is able to precisely target devices that users are having trouble with, and runs local scripts using Aternity to get employees and VIPs back up and running. All this without a single manual touch to support tickets.
What’s next for Agent Studio: Deploy AI agents in a unified and intuitive agentic AI platform
The AI agents built during the hackathon were a taste of what's possible when building Moveworks. Hackathon attendees left fueled with energy and excitement to continue installing and building even more powerful AI agents unlocked through Agent Studio.
