Quick GPT: Secure access to generative AI, right where you work

Esther Dsouza, Sr Product Marketing Manager

Quick GPT screens

I’m a new hire at Moveworks, and my first three weeks have been anything but typical.

Why, you might ask? It’s because I’ve been using our AI Assistant to onboard and, suffice to say, I’m a believer. I’m drinking our own champagne several times a day, chatting with the Assistant to request software access, file tickets for peripherals, and read coworker profiles before 1:1s. In fact, my manager’s onboarding checklist is made up of several line items that simply say: File ticket with m8.

M8. Pronounced  “em eight” or “mate”.  That’s what we call our AI Assistant here at Moveworks.

Over 350 companies around the world have deployed internal agentic AI Assistants powered by Moveworks, like Palo Alto Network’s [NASDAQ: PANW] Panda and Unilever’s [NYSE: UL] Una.

These assistants naturally excel that most impressive of all AI tasks which is, take action on your behalf. It can reason out a plan, connect across systems, and make changes to data to help you be more productive at work.

Last month, we announced Quick GPT, a new capability available in limited preview (Moveworks customers can get access here), which allows employees to securely access GPT-4o within their company’s AI Assistant, complete with enterprise-level security and controls.

And boy, more secure AI – isn’t that the IT and Security team’s dream!

Generative AI that puts security first

If you’ve ever paused to wonder whether using ChatGPT for work was actually okay, you get it. Generative AI is now essential for creative ideation, research, and problem solving, particularly for work in specialized domains. But confidential company data is spilling into ChatGPT at alarming rates, with source code being the second most common leak.

That’s why Moveworks’ rollout of Quick GPT is critical for helping to improve data protection.

Millions of users will be able to tap into GPT-4o directly from within their company’s AI Assistant — which runs on top of Slack or Teams, already secured with enterprise-grade safeguards.

It’s real nice, if I’m being honest. I’m messaging m8 all day to get what I need right within the chat window.

  • I don’t have to ask for permission, check the rules, or change details to protect private information.
  • I can do deep lookups with Moveworks’ plugins (“Who is the account owner for Acme in Salesforce?”)
  • And also widen my research with Quick GPT (“Quick GPT, I’m researching Acme for an upcoming sales call. Tell me about their core offerings, target market, key challenges…”).

If you’ve only used Moveworks’ AI Assistant for action-based workflows, here’s some inspiration for how you and your team can invoke Quick GPT. This is based on real-life examples gathered from logs of our power users at Moveworks in the past few weeks.

Here are the users and use cases that we’ll explore more below:

1. Software Engineer: For assistance with code review and debugging errors.

2. Solutions Architect: For support with systems setup and troubleshooting.

3. Strategic Account Executive: For preparation before a sales pitch.

4. Product Marketer: For understanding technical documentation.

5. Content Marketer: For insights on unreleased features.

6. Sales Enablement Lead: For pre-SKO sales preparation.

7. HR Business Partner: For handling confidential employee scenarios.

8. Finance Business Partner: For managing confidential business data.

9. Support Engineer: For onboarding into their new role.

10. Marketing Ops Lead: For evaluating new vendor options.

In these examples, you’ll notice “Quick GPT” as the prompt to invoke GPT within your AI Assistant. This is because Moveworks’ Reasoning Engine looks for answers within company systems by default, offering GPT-4o as a backstop for external research and brainstorming.
